To get important information or register your eligible family members in the UCI Division of Continuing Education Student Health Insurance Plan, follow these steps: click on Login/Create an Account, and then follow the instructions. After creating your account, log in and register your family members. The cost of your student health insurance will be added to your UCI DCE student account. If you register your family members, you'll need to make payments for their coverage separately through E-Check or Credit Card directly to Gallagher Student Health.

Registering with Anthem.com is simple

Use Anthem.com to keep track of your Student Health plan benefits and information--- all in one place. Here are the simple steps to register and log into Anthem.com:

1) Navigate to Anthem.com

2) Once on the main page, click login on the top page

3) If you already have a registered account, click login and enter your user name and password. If you need to register, click register now on the bottom of the page.

4) For SHIP plans, click student ID as the option for registering

5) Enter your student ID number, name, and date of birth. Please make sure to enter your name as when you registered with the school

Once registered, you will need to verify and set up security settings.

Find a Doctor or Hospital

Find doctors, hospitals, and more in your plan's network, please visit https://www.anthem.com/ca/find-care/or call Anthem Student Advantage at 1(800) 888-2108.


Insurance ID card

Your Anthem Medical ID Card will be available online only, on the coverage start date or 2-3 weeks after enrolling, whichever is later. To obtain your ID card, you will need to register with Anthem.

3 Important Enrollment Information

You must meet eligibility and attendance requirements set by your school to purchase or waive this insurance coverage. The insurance company and/or Gallagher Insurance, Risk Management and Consulting (the "Company") maintains the right to investigate student (and dependent) status and attendance records to verify that the policy eligibility requirements have been met. If and whenever the Company discovers that the policy eligibility requirements have not been met, our only obligation is to refund premium payment, minus any claims paid. By enrolling in this plan you are agreeing to your insurance carrier’s binding arbitration policies listed in the plan brochure. It is a crime to knowingly provide false, incomplete, or misleading information to an insurance company for the purposes of defrauding the company. Penalties include imprisonment, fines, and denial of insurance benefits. If your University is located in Washington State, the definition of Spouse includes Washington State Registered Domestic Partner.

*All refund requests must be sent to the University who will confirm nonstudent status with JCB, and submit the refund request on behalf of the student. The refund deadline is 45 days after the Insurance term start date. Only refunds submitted by the University before the refund deadline will be considered. Credit card refunds must be requested within 120 days of the date of purchase and before the refund deadline. No refunds will be considered after the refund deadline. All refunds will incur a $35 processing fee. *Does not apply to University of Michigan.
